Petina, 3/4/13
Just wanted to my express my grateful thanks to Memphis Tours for making our visits yo the Pyramids and Alexandria so enjoyable. Your arrivals at Alexandria dock was dead on time and your driver Sayed made us feel safe at all times despite what, to us, was quite chaotic traffic. He was also extremely helpful to my wife in assisting her out of your vehicle, Similarly our tour guide Ahmed did an excellent telling us all about the pyramids and the history of the Egyptian Kings.

Both Sayed and Ahmed made us feel very welcome and are a credit to your company and your country.

I would not hesitate to recommend your company

Good Tour, Try to avoid Fridays though
Ben, 7/28/12
We used Memphis Tours for our day trip to Alexandria from Cairo. Our tour guide was Eman and he was amazing. I would highly recommend booking Eman. He is very knowledgeable of Egypt, takes a lot of pride in his country and work, and is the friendliest guide.

The day trip started with pick up at our hotel. We stopped at a local coffee stop along the highway which was really cool too. There was bad traffic going to Alexandria, so I would suggest waking up and leaving earlier. Memphis Tours showed up a half an hour early as it was. The car was a Kia hatchback, appeared to be mid 2000's model. So pretty new and comfortable with good A/C.

The tour seems pricier than some others. But Memphis is nice because your price includes the cost of lunch and admission to all of th sites. Other cheaper tours don't include this, so beware when considering options.

Overall Alexandria was a great tour. The catacombs, pompei's pillar, and the citadel were amazing. We did not go to the gardens as it would have taken some additional time, but this was at our discretion and Memphis did give us the option to go. One thing I noticed about Eman was that he took all the time we requested to explain things. Most other tour guides I saw were rushing their guests through the tour and not giving them time.

The only drawback I noticed was that we went on Friday. This is a day of prayer and man businesses a closed, including the Alexandria Library. I was not made aware of this until the day of the tour. It would be nice if there was mention of this in advance so we could have adjusted our tour schedule accordingly. Or a price adjustment. We went to the outside of the library, just couldn't go inside.

Pros: Eman was the best, most courteous guide. Great tour overall!
Cons: Try to avoid Friday

I am heading to Egypt in a few days and I have been using Memphis tours to organize a number of excursions. They have been excellent: they reply very quickly at any time of the day, they are helpful, and they listen to any suggestions that you might have. Highly recommended. Can't wait to begin with them.

Holiday of a life time
Marie Amara, 2/20/12
Egypt was one of my dream destinations for a holiday and I thank God for making that dream come true. Booked our flights and hotel through Expedia and the internal tours through Memphis Tours Egypt who gave us an excellent service. To start with Mr. Maged with his prompt answers for all my online bookings, Mr. Mohamed Abdo our tour consultant for his friendly service with a smile, Mr. Momin for sharing his knowledge about Alexandria and the drivers for our safe journeys in the extremely busy roads of Cairo.

Fernando F, 2/12/12
I visited Egypt with my family by the end of Jan. 2012. We usually travel on our own, but due to political situation in Egypt, I decided to get in contact to a local agency. From the first time I felt Memphis Tours was the right choise. Ahmed Fayez in charge of prearrangements of our travel could not be better. He was under every detail and gave us confidence and good advise upon every matter related to our trip. We want to thank the ground staff , specially Mohamed Besheer who was always willing to satisfy us and gave us a cell phone to call him if we need something or had any trouble, our guide Ayman in Cairo, Memphis and Alexandria, who was very kind and professional, our guide in Luxor who was happy and proud about the future of his country and our driver Kamel, who without speaking a word in English or Spanish, was kind, polite and said good bye with a bunch of flowers for my wife. As a conclusion, Egypt is a wonderful country with uncountable things to be visited, but it is not easy at all. I do really recommend Memphis Tours if you wish to spend an unforgettable time in Egypt. I would choose them again.

Egypt - enjoyed every moment, thanks to Memphis Tours
Tamara D, 2/11/12
Memphis Tour Company was recommended to me by a friend who recently travelled to Egypt. I found their staff members to be very gracious and their service throughout my trip excellent. All I had to do was enjoy the customized excursions they planned for me based on what I wanted to do. The most enjoyable part for me was being shown the Wonders of Egypt by Egyptians who are very proud of their country!

Memphis Tours are Fabulous
juditheileen, 2/4/12
This company could not have been nicer nor more accommodating and flexible. Our plans changed many times, adding to itinerary, adding another person, canceling a person, and after all that, needing to change the itinerary again once we were in Egypt. They were gracious, knowledgeable, and we felt very safe and well cared for. Accommodations and tours were all as advertised. A great experience!

Memphis Tours and Ahmed were extremely helfpul and very accomodating to our requests
MMoore74, 4/3/11
I booked an independent tour through Memphis Tours as i had some friends that booked a week long trip through them and they thoroughly enjoyed it. I gave Ahmed a list of all the things we wanted to see in the 2 days we had in Cairo and although it would be alot, he was very accomodating and telling us how long we would be able to spend at each place and suggested a lunch on the go so we could fit everything in. We paid the 25% deposit and with the unrest that has happened, unfortunately the cruise cancelled the port. I was afraid that we would not be able to get our money back, but that concern was not necessary. Within 10 minutes i had a confirmation that our tour would be cancelled and the money returned to the account. They have been extremely wonderful to work with and very helpful. I do plan on going back to Egypt and would not hesitate to book again with Memphis Tours and Ahmed.

Memphis tours are professional, reliable and highly recommended
Rita074, 3/14/11
Memphis arranged our airport pick up and drop off at the airport and a"mini-tour' of 2 days and one night from Cairo to Alexandria and El Alamein. Our initial on line enquiry was handled very promptly by Fatima who replied within 12 hours with a suggested itinerary, prices and inclusions clearly detailed. We made a couple of changes and once we were happy with new itinerary paid in full on line.
The Memphis agent and van picked the four of us up at the airport and arranged our check in at the hotel. We were collected punctually the next day by the driver and our personal guide who was excellent. The was a bombing in Alexandria the day before we were due to go there. Our guide changed our itinerary around and kept up to date on the situation in Alexandria so as not to put us at any risk. Lunch was included and we tried some great local food. My husband broke his glasses and our guide tried to get them fixed in Alexandria but being a holiday no optical stores were open. When we got back to Cairo, while we were having dinner, he personally went to several opticians shops until the glasses were mended and delivered them to us. He really went out of his way to help. We would certainly use Memphis tours again.

Kenttx74, 2/10/11
Memphis is the best deal going.

We took 3 tours with them. They were always on-time and did a great job explaining things to us and making sure our trip was going great.

Our guide Ahmed was fantastic. He knew everything there was to know about the sights and the city.

I am still amazed at how affordable it was. I highly recommend.

“We had a fabulous time in Egypt, thanks to Memphis Tours”
seehong, 1/17/11
My husband and I recently spent 11 days in Egypt and had an absolutely fabulous time. Memphis Travels was the Egyptian tour company we picked.

We decided on Memphis after doing a bit of a search online and because we were getting very prompt response from them - Fatima was the person we corresponded with online. She put everything together for us.

Our guide in Cairo and Alexandria, Mohamed Salam was WONDERFUL.
i. He spoke clear and perfect English
ii. he was passionate about Egypt and your glorious history, and excited and overwhelmed us with his knowledge, enhancing our overall experience in Cairo and Alexandria
iii. He was extremely attentive and took great care of our welfare

Mohamed Salam is a gem of a guide. He was the best guide we had on our entire trip.

When we were in Cairo, we stayed the Fairmont Hotel, which was was FANTASTIC. It was new, had a fantastic breakfast buffet spread and most of all - the quality of its staff was top-notch

Enjoyable day at Alexandria with Memphis Tours
Rous_Ve, 5/6/10
Ahmed Farahat picked up us on time in our hotel in Cairo, he and his driver were very nice with us since the beginning, in the road to Alexandria, we enjoyed of traditional Egyptian music and Ahmed gave us a lot information about Egypt and its historical places.

At Alexandria, we started in the Catacombs; Ahmed entered with us and started to explain which were the ladders’ sarcophagus and the mix of the Egyptian and Greece art. Then we arrive in the Pompay´s Pillar and Ahmed told us the history of why the Pillar name´s is Pomapay…

After that, we arrived in the Qaitbay Citade one of the most important defensive strongholds in Egypt by Sultan Al-Ashraf…

For the lunch time, we and Ahmed went to a traditional Egyptian restaurant where we could enjoy eating sea food xD. Finally we arrived at the Montazha Palace, where you can get pleasure from the view offered by the flowers, trees, the sea and a beautiful sunset.

We really recommended Menphis tour and its tour guides, they all time will be attending you and will try to bright you the best service and company… its guide compliance with everything that was offer in the tour and much more…

Ahmed thanks a lot for your time, for your kindness, for all the pictures, for all your explanations and histories about Egypt and for been so helpful.
