Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (IATA: RKT, ICAO: OMRK) lies at the Persian Gulf sheikhdom of Ras al-Khaimah, on 20 km; south the town of Ras Al Khaimah. 

Firstly, the airport was built with two terminals for passengers, aircraft maintenance, and aviation training facilities.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport was inaugurated by Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, in 1976. 
By 2007, Ras Al Khaimah Airport started to operate for the national airline with a hub at the airport, yet ate first the airport was not founded to work as an International Airport.

Due to the global economic crisis, in 2008, the operations were suspended at the airport. Then, by 2010, the work was re-run again with a magnificent re-branding. However, again in 2013, the operations over Ras Al Khaimah Airport stopped once more time.
By 2104, Air Arabia had its commercial flights over Ras-al-Khaimah Airport to different destinations.
