Booking conditions
1) MemphisTours
Your contract will be with Memphis Tours Egypt S.A.E Licensed (30 since 1955). Memphis Tours Egypt is a Member of the Egyptian Travel agent association (ETAA) for your financial security.
2) To secure your booking
To secure your reservation, please do the following:
- Notify Memphis Tours of your booking request
- Memphis Tours will contact you to review and finalize booking details.
- You must confirm these details and make the correct deposit/payment, as discussed in your details, to the company account by wire transfer or credit card (Visa or Master Cards are accepted)
3) Payment
Payment of deposits or full payment of a reservation for an escorted or independent tour constitutes consent to all provisions of the terms and general information contained here.
Please note that in case our company representative will charge you the rest of your money here, he will be charging you 3% of the total amount you will be paying because of the processing fees of the bank.
4) Deposit of payment
Reservations should be made as early as possible to book your desired holiday, Space will be secured upon receive a deposit of 50% of your total package price. This deposit forms part of your final payment. Deposits can only be made by bank transfer, money transfer via Western Union, or by credit card (Visa and Master cards are accepted). Deposits should be received within 7 days of booking.
5) Amendments
Any amendment made to the original booking is subject to availability. If the full payment has been received, and/or voucher has been issued, NO administrative fees will be applied
6) Payments
The remaining balance of your total package price must be received with in 7 from the date of confirmation. If a reservation is made less than 7 days prior to departure, full payment must be made at the time of booking (via credit cards).
7) Payment By Credit Card
If paying by credit card, according to our bank regulations (Bank Misr), the following documents are required to enable our accountant to charge your credit card for the service agreed:
*A copy of your passport.
* A copy of both sides of your credit card with your own signature
* An authorization letter to Memphis Tours Egypt allowing the withdraw of the required amount from your credit card with original signature (same one should appear in your credit card and passport)
* These documents should be received by fax, e-mail, or given to our representative upon your arrival at the airport; otherwise we won't be able to proceed with your request.
8) Cancellation
Cancellation should be received in writing via fax or email. In the case of cancellation the following fees will be applied. If the written cancellation notice received within 7 days of the confirmation date, 6% of the total amount received will be kept by Memphis Tours Egypt to cover transaction fees from the bank.
Additionally the following charges will be applied:
Days before departure % of entire tour price
Between 40 and 30 days 15%
Between 29 and 15 days 25%
Between 14 and 07 days 50%
Between 1 and 7 days 100%
No refunds are possible for No-Show
9) Responsibilities
The responsibility of the Memphis Tours Egypt S.A.E tour operator is limited. Memphis Tours Egypt S.A.E, its affiliates, and agents act only as intermediaries and agents for suppliers in all functions pertaining to hotel reservations, services, sightseeing tours, travel and transportation of whatever nature, which are not directly supplied by Memphis tours Egypt S.A.E. All reservations, rates, schedules, accommodations and services are subject to change. All certificates and other travel documents for travel services issued by Memphis tours Egypt S.A.E are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier, and to the laws of the countries in which the services are supplied.
By acceptance of participation in a tour, the tour participant agrees that neither Memphis Tours Egypt S.A.E nor its officers, employees or representatives shall become liable for loss, damage, accident, personal injury, death, or inconvenience caused by or resulting from the malfunction of transportation equipment, hazards of sea, air or land, disease, local laws, strikes, any occurrence beyond the control of the tour operator, cancellation due to war, terrorist or criminal activities, imminent threat of hostilities or civil strife, acts of war or insurrection, fire, quarantines, Acts of God, delays, irregularity, theft, itinerary or schedule changes or cancellations, or for acts or omissions or default of any company or person engaged in conveying the passengers or carrying out the arrangements of these tours, or for personal dissatisfaction with itinerary or accommodations provided, or for any consequential or incidental damages, whatsoever.
The tour operator cannot accept the responsibility for loss or additional expense due to delay, or changes in schedules, or other causes. No responsibility is accepted for loss of, or damage to, baggage or any of the passenger's belongings. Baggage insurance is recommended.
If the services included in the tour cannot be supplied or there are changes in an itinerary, the tour operator will arrange for the provision of comparable services. Any resulting additional expense will be payable by tour participants and any resulting saving will be refunded by the tour operator to tour participants, with due provision for the tour operator's profit.
Memphis Tours Egypt S.A.E reserves the right to decline, to accept, to expel or to retain any person as a member or participant of any tour as circumstances may demand it.
Memphis Tours Egypt S.A.E shall not be responsible for any purchases made by tour members during or outside of the tour, The issuance or acceptance of booking, invoice, receipt, or voucher, or the payment of a deposit or tour charges, shall be deemed to be consent to the above conditions, as well as to notices and disclaimers provided on our invoices, itineraries, ticket, vouchers, tour schedules, price lists, and announcements to tour members.
10) Claims and Complaints
If you have a complaint whilst in Egypt, inform your tour operator immediately, as most problems can be solved on the spot. If a problem can not be solved, immediately contact the company chairman. If you are still unsatisfied, once you return home you must write to the Egyptian Travel Agent Association (ETAA) as It is unlikely that you will have a complaint that cannot be settled amicably between us, however, if this is not the case any dispute arising out of, or in connection with this contract, may (if you wish) be referred to the Egyptian Tourism Ministry in Cairo.
