Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt after the capital Cairo & known as "The Pearl of the Mediterranean". It was founded by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C. & it was the capital of Graeco-Roman in Egypt. In the past Alexandria was famous for the lighthouse “Pharos” one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, now it’s famous for the World War II cemeteries, Alexandria library, Montazah Palace, Pompey’s Pillar & Catacomb cemetery.
Port Said is the 2nd most important port after Alexandria mostly built on Lake Manzala. It is situated on the Mediterranean Sea, north of Suez Canal & founded in 1859 by Khedive Mohamed Said as a camp for workers in the Suez Canal. Now Port Said is one of the best summer resorts & a duty-free port in Egypt. You can enjoy this city either by a cruise in the canal, shopping, touring the city by carriage, visit the Military or Modern Arts Museum.
The town of Safaga is a working marine port that is located on south of Hurghada on the coast of the Red Sea . Safaga is well known for Windsurfing, fishing, diving & has hosted the World Windsurfing Championship in 1993. Day trips to Luxor, Tobia Island & Mons Claudianus can also be arranged. Safaga is also well Known its unpolluted air, black sand-dunes and mineral springs that have acquired specific characteristics for remedy of rheumatoid & psoriasis.
Ein El-Sokhna is the Arabic name which means “Hot Spring” because it is famous for sulphur springs. It is located on the south of Suez on the Red Sea Coast in Egypt & consists mainly of a port & a few resorts.
